Special Notes on Monster and it's TP Moves

Wyverns TP moves can be very dangerous. The Paralyze from Dread Shriek is very potent. The EVA boost from Wind Wall is substantial, often causing massive numbers of missed attacks by players. Radiant Breath's Silence is dangerous to mages and Ninjas. Dispelling Wind can remove food effects as well as other buffs. With high level Wyverns, the damage attached to all moves can be quite high.

Note that this Spell is only used by The Dynamis mobs listed below, a Field of Valor NM, and in a BCNM. Both the BCNM and the NM are fights that are capped at level 75, where the spell cannot be learned, as the Blue Mage's Blue Magic skill is capped too low to allow learning.

It is assumed that more new wyverns that use the spell will be added to the game.

Obtaining the Spell
Minimum Blue Mage Level Needed To Acquire Spell: Level 87 with Magus Jubbah equipped, 90 without.
Thunder Breath is best hunted in Abyssea - Konschtat.

The Spell is best hunted with soem cure support, and a blink tank.

Wyvern Hunting Grounds Camp #1
Name Level Location
Balaur ??? Abyssea - Konschtat

~

Balaur is a timed pop NM that spawns in the L-7 area of Abyssea - Konschtat once every 10 to 15 minutes among the other wyvern. He uses the spell

Once you zone in, get your buffs, and Port to #07 and go a bit NE, and you'll find the wyverns. Wait for Balaur to pop. He has a pretty fast spawn rate, so you won't wait too long.

The fight can be a bit tricky, and if the NM gets spikes up the damage can be pretty big up to 300 per hit. You will need some cure support for this fight to be comfortably safe. So a friend or two to help out is a good plan. The mob does like to use the spell, so you'll have a chance to learn on almost any encounter.

Wyvern Hunting Grounds Camp #2
Name Level Location
Kindred's Vouivre ??? Dynamis - Xarcabard
Kindred's Vouivre ??? Dynamis - Tavnazia

Kindred Vouivre are the pets of BST Class Demons in the 2 Dynamis Zones.

Learning the spell will be part of a normal Dynamis run when the BST mobs are dealt with. Your party will need to take care to pull them and sleep the Masters until the spell is used by the pet. The Wyvern will despawn if the Master is killed.

Special notes about the spell a Blue Mage may like to know

Do I need any special items? Yes, Echo Drops, Antidotes, and Remedies to cure possible status effects.
Do Wyverns like to use the move? Yes, but with so many moves it can take some time to see.
