Paralyzing Triad is best hunted in Cirdas Caverns

It's best to hunt Umbril in Cirdas Caverns, as they are always up there, and in good numbers, which makes it simpler to find them then in the field zones where they only are up at night. They are a bit stronger then field versions, but not so much so that it's a big issue.

Umbril Hunting Grounds Camp #1
Name Level Location
Livid Umbril 100+? Cirdas Caverns

Zone into Cirdas caverns by using the Augural Conveyer if you have access, and you will be at the camp location where you will be hunting. If you don't have access, zone in via another entrance and make your way to H-3. Sneak and Invisible are needful, and avoid the gas and spore obstacles on the way.

Once in camp, there are two Umbrils in the open area to the south, along with some Acuexe. It's best to pull the Umbrils with a ranged weapon, to avoid aggroing more then one with magic or getting in sight range. Pull the mob up to the conveyer area, and fight there.

Umbrils can be soloed, but things go much much better if you have a dedicated tank and a dedicated stunner. All of the other TP moves should be stunned to make the fights as uncomplicated as possible. The curse, Bio, Blind etc is all very effective, and should be avoided. Having a support healer to remove the debuffs can be a big help also.

Umbril resist physical damage, so have magical spells set to do big damage when you need it.

Wait for the move and kill. If an Umbril is being stingy, just kill it off an get a fresh one.

Special notes about the spell a Blue Mage may like to know
Can I solo it? Yes, but it's much better to duo with a dedicated stunner.
Do I need any special items? A way to remove debufs is super useful.
Do Umbril like to use the move? They do, but it seems the others are favored.
The Paralyse seems to proc about 20% of the time. Damage is quite good for MP needed to cast. There is also a Plague aspect to the spell.
Paralyzing Triad Produces the Skillchain Bonus Trait on it's own.
