Minimum Blue Mage Level Needed To Acquire Spell: Level 89 with +BLU equip. Level 92 Without it.
Foul Waters is best hunted in Cirdis Caverns

There are many good places to find good numbers of Acuex in the caverns.

Acuex Hunting Grounds Camp #1
Name Level Location
Flatus Acuex 100+?? Cirdis Caverns

Zone into Cirdas caverns by using the Augural Conveyer if you have access, and you will be at the camp location where you will be hunting. If you don't have access, zone in via another entrance and make your way to H-3. Sneak and Invisible are needful, and avoid the gas and spore obstacles on the way.

Once in camp, there are two Acuex in the open area to the south, along with some Umbril. It's best to pull with a ranged weapon, to avoid aggroing the Umbril with magic or getting in sight range. Pull the mob up to the conveyer area, and fight there.

Acuex can be soloed, but things go much much better if you have a dedicated tank and a dedicated stunner. All of the other TP moves should be stunned to make the fights as uncomplicated as possible. The debuffs are all very effective, and should be avoided. Having a support healer to remove the debuffs can be a big help also. Having Echo drops for silence can be a life saver.

Special notes about the spell a Blue Mage may like to know
Can I solo it? Yes, but a duo with a dedicated stunner makes it much simpler.
Do I need any special items? Echo drops are needful
Do Acuexes to use the move? Yes, but seem to favor others.
Foul Waters Produces the Resist Silence Trait on it's own.
