All of the TP moves can be nasty. Also Chariots can cast high level magic, and often have strong Blaze Spikes. Diffusion Ray is only used is the target is directly in front of the Chariot.

| Diffusion Ray
can be gotten from any Chariot. The regular NM pop Battlerigged Chariot in Abyssea - Altepa is the weakest one that is easily found.
This is not a simple solo, a way to cast Barfire and Shadows (spell or from /NIN) all make it much simpler.
The Battlerigged Chariot pops once every 10 to 15 minutes in the H-11 area of the zone, amoung the Bonfires. Use the Conflux #5 or #8 and walk to camp. Sneak and Invisible are useful. Many monsters in the area aggro to Magic. Once you have claimed the NM, and gotten to a place to fight with no aggro from the local bombs, care must me used. The mob has a potent Blaze Spike effect that is in effect whenever it is casting Fire spells. Silencing the mob is greatly helpful. The magic can be high level, and should always be stunned. The fights are often ones of staying healed up while waiting to see the spell. The mob has enough HP for you to feel free to hit it as much as you like, including Multi Hit BLU spells. This Specific NM only uses two of the three TP moves (Diffusion Ray and Inertia Stream) so you'll see the spell pretty quickly. As soon as you do spike damge the NM to death. If you are geared with 109+ weapons you should have no issues killing it in a timely fashion. ~~~ There are many other Chariots out there, and salavage, N. Island classic climbs, and other events might offer chances to learn the spell. Hunt where you are most comfy.
