Special Notes on Monster and it's TP Moves

The status effects that Scorpions can inflict tend to last long.

The Damage moves can hurt badly if you are close to the Monsters level.

Obtaining the Spell
Minimum Blue Mage Level Needed To Acquire Spell: Level 55
Death Scissors is best hunted in the Maze of Shakhrami.

This spell can be safely soloed with no issues when you can learn it at 55.

Bringing Antidotes for poison can help a little bit. A way to cure Paralysis is a plus. A low damage weapon to feed the Scorpion TP helps.

Scorpion Hunting Grounds Camp #1
Name Level Location
Maze Scorpion 25-28 Maze of Shakhrami
Labyrinth Scorpion 30-33 Maze of Shakhrami

The Best place to hunt Scorpion class mobs is in the Maze of Shakhrami. Between the Maze and Labyrinth Scorpion spawns you will have twenty Scorpions to farm for your spell.

At Level 54 when you can learn the spell, you will face no aggro in the Maze of Shakhrami, and both types of the Scorpions will pose no trouble to Solo. Grab a low damage weapon, and start to beat on Scorpions until one gives you your spell. The Scorpions can link, so watch out for that.

There are no shortage of other Scorpions around the world. All of the lower ones make good targets, but often there are very few to kill in the areas, making them less then the best camps. The Higher ones will take a party to kill, so they are not recommended.

Special notes about the spell a Blue Mage may like to know
Can I solo it? Yes. You should have no problems by level 55 in camp #1
Do I need any special items? No, but Antidotes can be a small help. A low damage weapon to feed the monster TP is useful.
Do Scorpions like to use the move? They have a lot of TP moves, it can take a long time to see it.
The damage from the spell is very nice, and when matched with Sneak attack, the damage numbers can be huge. The spell scales nicely as you gain levels.
Death Scissors can be paired with any of the following spells to create the Attack Bonus Trait: Battle Dance, Uppercut, Spinal Cleave, Temporal Shift, or Thermal Pulse.
