Acrid Stream is best hunted in
Abyssea-Konschtat and Abyssea La Theine
This spell can be soloed starting Level 75 with some care. Are special items are needed? Yes, you must have the key item to enter an Abyssea zone. Also Setting spells that can Dispel and Silence is a must.
Once you enter Abyssea-Konschtat and trade your stone for time, the camp is very easy to reach. Just follow the path, turn right and head to K-11. Nothing on the way will aggro. In this area several Clionids wander. They do not seem to aggro. With a range of 75 to 77 odds are you can find a DC or EM to fight. The fights are pretty simple. Stun all aga and high tier spells the Clionid trys to cast, and pound away with your sword. They LOVE to use Acrid Stream, and it can hit for several hundred (300-400) HP of damage, so take care. The Clionids will open with a spell, often a ga, so shadows will probably be wiped off the top if you do not stun fast. The Clionid can cast ice spikes. You want to dispel those as soon as you can. They can cripple you. The biggest annoyance in getting the spell is the timed aspect of the zone.
Another Great camp is Just inside Abyssea La Theine. Once you exit the gate, there are many Veld Clionid around, far more then in camp #1. And closer also, so this is the better camp. The fights should be handled as in camp #1. You should have no issues with some care. |
